INDIAN ROAD TRIP

Summer 2019, how can I forget this adventure, I decided with my friends to return to India after 10 years … My only memories of the country of origin of my parents are becoming more and more blurred, I wonder what has changed and what which has remained the same after 10 years. Are there still as many power outages? Will I still be woken up at 5 a.m. by the crows singing on the porch? Or by the horns of the city? This summer reminded me of how beautiful this country is and makes us keep our feet on the ground. We started in the south, Kerala where we visited a large hospital for elephants, then we continued by bus to Pondicherry the city of my ancestors, I will never have the perfect words to describe this magnificent city filled with history, we saw our families again after 10 years, a 5-day stay very emotional. We continued through Rishikesh the city of yogis crossed by the Ganges river then we continued by car up to Kalimpong in the north of India where we visited a school of children run by a friend, an unforgettable moment. We finished our road trip with Darjeeling… So I share this wonderful road trip with some photos that my photographer friend @colinepalmo took.
